The faculty of corrections consists of five training units headed by chief officers and their deputies who organise training and every-day activities.

The training and resource base includes lecture halls, classrooms, specialised classrooms, methodological rooms, computer classrooms, offices of the training and scientific department, workshops of the technical department, studies of the teaching staff, general and special libraries with reading halls, a shooting range with a classroom of weapons training, a special training ground, a combined building for the canteen with a dining room, a storehouse and subsidiary premises, a sport hall and a wrestling hall, an assembly hall, a hostel.

The educational process is provided by the chairs of the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus. The chair of correctional law is part of the faculty.

In order to strengthen the practical component of training at the faculty active work is being done to create training grounds. The personnel of the faculty receives practical training at various units of the penitentiary system of the Department of corrections of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.
