On February 14 the Academy hosted a celebration in honor of soldiers-internationalists. The Head of Academy Vladimir Bachila welcomed veterans, who fought in Afghanistan.
- Every generation has its heroes, - said Vladimir Vladimirovich. - You passed with honor all war hardships, and most importantly - you came back alive. We know the value of your military awards because you have paid in blood for them . We remember and honor your Merit.
The representative of a charitable fund to assist soldiers-internationalists "Memory of Afghanistan" Sergei Kostyukevich thanked the leadership and the entire staff of the Academy for the attention, which is shown to the veterans.
Then major general of militia Victor Lazebnik shared his memories of service in the DRA.
At the end of the solemn ceremony bard Alexander Yudin - also a veteran of the war in Afghanistan - sang some of his Afghan songs.
