Vladimir Bachila was born on July 15th , 1960 in Lipki, Minsk district, Minsk region.
After the service in the army he entered the faculty of law of the Belarusian State University (graduated in 1987).
Vladimir Bachila worked in a forensic team of the militia unit at the railway station Minsk, after that at the forensic department of the Belarusian Directorate of transport militia of the Interior Ministry of the BSSR.
From 1991 till 1994 he followed post-graduate studies at the Moscow Higher School of Militia of the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation.
On December 7th, 1994 he defended his PhD. theses.
He worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer and an assistant professor at the chair of operative work and criminal investigation of the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus. On 28 October 1998 Vladimir Bachila was awarded an academic title of an associate professor in law.
In 1999 he was appointed to the position of the head of the chair of operative work and criminal investigation of the faculty of criminal militia which was later renamed into the chair of detective activity.
From September 2003 to March 2004 Vladimir Bachila was the deputy head of the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus for educational activities. After that he occupied the position of the head of the department of training of personnel of the General Directorate for training of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.
Vladimir Bachila has been the head of the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus since 1 March 2010.
He is the author of over 170 scientific publications. He is married and has two children.
