The International Training Centre offers the following training courses:
1. Combating trafficking in human beings: system analysis, international cooperation and the ways of perfection of law-enforcement practice [Analysis of the issue of human trafficking; international and legal regulation of combating human trafficking; legal status of a victim of trafficking; law-enforcement activities on prevention; revealing and investigation of crimes related to human trafficking; the tactics of questioning victims of trafficking].
2. Best practices and perspectives of combating trafficking in human beings [International legislation in the field of combating trafficking in human beings and illegal migration; mechanisms of crime in the field in question; measures on ensuring safety of the victims of trafficking; tactics of carrying out certain investigative actions; role of international and non-governmental organizations in preventing trafficking in human beings].
3. Combating child pornography on the internet [International and legal regulation of combating child pornography on the internet; criminal, legal, criminological
and criminalistic characteristics; typical investigative situations; peculiarities
of investigation; usage of special knowledge for investigation;
cooperation with foreign law-enforcement agencies].
4. Social and psychological assistance to victims of trafficking [Social and medical consequences of human trafficking; insuring safety of victims of trafficking; rendering assistance to them, psychological assistance to victims of trafficking].
5. Migration of population: structural characteristics and models of organizational-legal regulation [General characteristics of migration; managing migration flows; law-enforcement activities on combating illegal migration; revealing and combating crimes in the field of illegal migration].
6. Law-enforcement activities in the field of migration, asylum and citizenship [Mechanisms of regulating migration processes; institute of citizenship; passport and registration system; organization of control over the stay of foreigners; enforcement measures for the breach of migration legislation].
7. External labor migration [Practice and modern trends; managing external labour migration; peculiarities of a stay of foreign nationals and stateless persons; enforcement measures in the field of migration].
8. Migration management: division of migration flows, protection of refugees [Forced migration; causes and trends of illegal migration; enforcement measures for the breach of migration legislation; international legal protection of refugees; asylum; refugee status].
9. Contemporary expert techniques of examining identification documents for the purpose of verifying their authenticity [Polygraphic, technological and physicochemical methods of document protection; technologies of manufacturing and protecting seals and stamps; contemporary methods of document forgery; algorithms of examining documents for the purpose of identifying a fake].
10. Contemporary techniques of inspecting a crime scene and using the results in the work of criminal prosecution agencies [Organizational-tactical and technical-criminalistic support for the inspection of a crime scene; efficient methods of identifying, documenting, seizing objects and ensuring the integrity of evidence at a crime scene; specificities of inspecting crime scenes in different cases].
11. Psychology of criminogenic personality: possibilities for effective correction and prevention of criminal behavior [Intervisionary characteristics of a criminogenic personality; the methodology of revealing and assessment of criminogenic inclinations of a personality; models of correction of a criminogenic personality].
12. Psychology of criminal and its consideration in criminal procedure (Realization of a criminogenic potential of a personality in a mechanism of criminal behavior; structural and functional approach and typology of criminogenic inclinations of a personality; parameters and criteria of evaluation of a criminal personality at the time of imposition of a penalty].
13. The Russian language (intended for foreign specialists).
At the request of the customer’s organization, the topics and contents of the courses can be altered, revised and supplemented. The selection of trainees for the training courses is performed by the customer’s organization.
Upon the completion of training, trainees receive advanced training diplomas of a standard pattern and certificates.
At the Centre, training is delivered in line with individual thematic training plans with due regard of the trainees’ category and level of education.
In line with international standards, various kinds of classes are available, including hands-on classes in the field, role plays and simulations, training sessions, projecting, modeling and solving cases, analyzing and discussing case studies, experience exchange seminars, etc.
Teaching, instructional and scientific activities at the Centre are conducted by the professors and teachers of the Academy of MI of Belarus and other leading higher education establishments of the country. Experts, representatives of international, non-governmental organizations, state authorities of the Republic of Belarus, as well as senior officers and rank and file staff of the law-enforcement agencies of Belarus, are welcome to participate in the training programmes.
