The chair was established in 1992 to provide training courses in general and applied psychology and pedagogy, operative psychology, culturology, ethics and aesthetics.

Scientific research work of the chair is carried out on the relevant issues related to the activities of internal affairs bodies. The chair possesses the necessary educational, methodical and scientific capacity to further enhance the effectiveness of all activities.


The chair organizes and conducts several activities:

  • Scientific and practical conference of the chair on moral and psychological perspectives (March);
  • The day of the chair of psychology and pedagogics (April);
  • The international competition of oratorical skills among students (May);
  • The evening of art song and poetry “Anthem of Alma Mater" (October);
  • Mentoring of the lecturing team of the Academy of the Interior Ministry (40 members), organization of presentations of cadets for the prevention of offences and crimes, healthy living in schools and gymnasiums of Minsk and Minsk region.

There is a psychological club and a research group of cadets who study standards of speech.
