The chair of civil legal disciplines was created at the Minsk higher school of the Interior Ministry of the USSR on December 9th ,1975 by the order of the Interior Ministry of the USSR N 0775. The chair was later reorganized a number of times and since May 28th , 2001 it has been called the chair of civil and labour law being a structural subdivision of the Academy of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Belarus.

Research and development

The teaching stuff of the chair actively explores the issues of improvement of civil, family, labour and civil procedure law as well as legislation in the field of public service, social security under the circumstances of the formation of a social law governed state taking into consideration the peculiarities of a legal status of law enforcement personnel.

Research activities carried out by the teaching stuff of the chair make a weighty contribution to the development of commentaries to current laws and regulations. Tutorials, teaching and reference aids are issued by the teachers of the chair.

  8. Basics of managing intellectual property.

Academic support

There are two academic boards at the chair:

1 – civil law, family law, Roman private law, basics of managing intellectual property.

2 – civil procedure, labour law, law of social security, labour protection.

Computer tests for all disciplines have been prepared and are widely being used in the training process. Power point presentations and computer software are used extensively. The teachers of the chair strive to implement innovative technology in the training process.
