The chair of foreign languages of the Minsk higher school of the Interior Ministry of USSR was founded on the 30th of September 1968. The first head of the chair was A. Shlopak. In 1976-1990 the chair was headed by the PhD in philological science, associate professor N. Novitzky. 1992 the chair was renamed into the chair of Belarusian and foreign languages. Since 1999 the chair has been headed by the PhD in pedagogics, associate professor S. Denisova.
Nowadays 1 professor, 4 PhDs, 2 senior lecturers and 8 lecturers work here.
- Belarusian (professional vocabulary);
- Foreign languages (English, French, German);
- Fundamentals of gesture language.
Main areas of scientific research:
- Forming of language competency of the law-enforcement agencies’ officers;
- Professional oriented teaching of foreign languages.
